Vik Chadha's journey to creating MyHomePlatform began with a flooded basement and a missing warranty. After co-founding Backupify (acquired by Datto), he couldn't find his water heater's documentation when he needed it most.
"I had spent years building platforms to protect enterprise data, but my home's information lived in random drawers and forgotten emails," Vik explains. "That flood cost $10,000 because I didn't know the shut-off valve location. MyHomePlatform ensures nobody else pays that ignorance tax."
His systematic approach from co-founding UnifyCX (formerly GlowTouch), which today has 6,000+ employees, revealed that homes are complex systems requiring active management.
